Are Moral Firms Committed Firms?

Abstract Corporate purpose is everywhere, but will it stay? Is a business revolution or passing fad, destined to go the way of so many concepts? Reliance on good judgment and goodwill corporate leaders justifiable cause for concern, resort often sought instead in apparently safe harbor public regulation. But reliance should not be placed governments regulators alone constrain giants face system that motivates abusive behavior. Instead, attention devoted alignment intrinsic interests corporations with those society more generally.
